How To Submit A File For Batch Processing
Simply e-mail us your file with your purchase order or written approval and we will return your updated file
within 5 business days. We can also provide a secure FTP site to maximize privacy. AlumniFinder accepts
any type of file format, with as many extra fields to make your data transfer as easy as possible.
The following fields are required for any batch process:
1. Name First and Last Name
2. Last known address Send us the last known address within the past 20 years.
3. Internal record number (Where available)
The following fields are not required, but will increase match rates:
• Social Security Number
• Date Of Birth
• Phone Number
AlumniFinder will return the following fields to you:
• Name
• Updated Address
• Date of Address Confirmation
• Phone Number
• Death Flag w/ Date of Death*
• Date of Birth
• Name Change*
* These fields should not be updated automatically and need to be
confirmed with human intervention, or a second data source.
Death indicators and name changes are strictly red flags for you to do further investigation to confirm the
information we provides. They should not be uploaded automatically.
Any records submitted with the wrong street address, city, zip code, or the wrong name will be returned
with a "Needs human intervention" code. AlumniFinder does not guess if we are not positive we have the
right person. N's need to be checked manually with AlumniFinder online and should not be sent in a batch
again until the typos are corrected.

Address found is the most recent and verified for an individual.
R
Address found is the most recent, usually most current, but not verified. (Usually has a cell or unlisted phone number) "R-2" Represents a parent's address for alumni who are still receiving mail at home.
N
Needs human intuition, no match was possible with the address submitted. This indicates a typo in the address or name and these records need to be looked at on line to determine the current address. Do not send these records back for another batch until the typo has been corrected with AF On-Line.
M
Moves reported by the post office within the past few weeks.
X
No valid address submitted. Do not send these records back for another batch until the record has been corrected with AF On-Line. There is no charge for X's.
